What was the highlight of Tokyu Stay Takanawa Shinagawa Area
A reasonably priced, conveniently located, and enjoyable hotel.
The room was nice and clean, and I enjoyed the convenience of the microwave and washer/dryer. Moreover, the location is just down the street from the Sengakujji station, and it's only 10-15 minutes away from the Takanawa Gateway Station (a more convenient line for most trips). The hotel staff were courteous and easily able to answer questions or help with things as needed, and I appreciated their assistance with luggage forwarding.
The only complaint I have is that the wifi service was mediocre. It often worked, but it was usually incredibly slow.

EXCELLENT STAY
THIS HOTEL IS EXCELLENT! ROOMS ARE ACTUALLY PRETTY BIG FOR TOKYO STANDARDS. THERE'S A TABLE WHERE YOU CAN EAT COMFORTABLY. WE HAD 2 LARGE LUGGAGES AND 2 BAGS BUT WE STILL HAD ENOUGH SPACE. BED IS BIG AND COMFY. BATHROOM AND BATHTUB IS SPACIOUS AS WELL. HAVING A WASHING MACHINE INSIDE THE ROOM IS SO CONVENIENT! YOU CAN DO LAUNDRY ANYTIME WITHOUT WORRYING ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE. (TRUST ME IVE TRIED COMMON USE WASHING MACHINE IN SHIBUYA AND IT WAS A HASSLE HAVING TO WAIT FOR OTHERS TO FINISH) HOTEL LOCATION IS VERY NEAR METRO SUBWAY SENGAKUJI STATION. LIKE 1-2 MINS WALK. DAILY YAMAZAKI CONVENIENCE STORE IS ALSO NEAR THE STATION PERFECT FOR GETTING FOOD BEFORE OR AFTER GETTING ON THE SUBWAY. MICROWAVE AND SMALL REF! THERES A SMALL RACK WHERE YOU CAN HANG YOUR JACKETS
WE TRIED THE BREAKFAST ONE TIME ONLY. IT WAS OKAY COULD DO BETTER WITH MORE OPTIONS BUT I GUESS THEY CHANGE IT FROM TIME TO TIME?

Outstanding rooms - clean and spacious.
Rooms are much larger, cleaner, and generally nicer than neighboring business hotels. Having a washing machine in the room is a huge benefit. Close to multiple train stations. Bath sponges and other amenities are appreciated. New coffee machine in lobby is a godsend - much more convenient to just wander downstairs for a fresh cup than to heat up water and mess with the disposable drip filters.
Access to multiple train stations is great, but there's really nothing happening within walking distance in terms of shopping, dining, bars, etc. Wifi connection can be spotty and rather slow, but aligned with typically business hotel expectations.
